The East Reader Tract (#03019-03398), which contains approximately 40 acres, is located in the northwestern part of Ouachita County, Arkansas, about 1.5 miles east of Reader, AR (North 33.746122°, West 93.080922°). Access to the eastern edge of the property is good with a short woodstrail running about 200 yards in a northeasterly direction out to Ouachita Road #24, a paved county road. The property is located in a creek bottom with “Horse Branch” and “White Oak Creek”, both perennial streams, flowing through the property. The entire property is timbered in a dense stand of natural pine with mostly sawtimber grade trees. According to USDA NRCS soil survey information the tract is based mostly upon Amy Association soil, which gives a weighted average site index of 89.6 feet for loblolly pine (base age 50 years).
