The Little Missouri Tract (#03019-03415 ) is a ± 409 acre tract of undeveloped timberland located in northwestern Ouachita County, about sixteen miles northwest of Cacmden, AR (North 33.782596°, West 92.979498°). The majority of the tract, about 316 acres, was allowed to regenerate naturally in mostly hardwood. Nearly 23 acres of the tract were planted back in pine in 2001; roughly 30 acres were planted with pine in 2007. About 17 acres of mature hardwood timber remain. The topography is very flat with multiple creek systems meandering through it as it adjoins some two miles of frontage to the Little Missouri River. Lucky for you duck hunters and anglers, there are some 23 acres worth of sloughs and oxbow river lakes serving as prime aquatic wildlife habitat. According the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is mostly based upon Ouachita Association and Amy Association soils which give the property an excellent weighted average site index rating for Loblolly Pine of 93.8 feet (base age 50). Two deeded access roads are granted from Ouachita Road 24 running north to both the southwestern and southeastern sides.
