The Strong 60 (#03019–03580) is a +/- 60-acre tract of timberland located in southern Union County about two miles southwest of Strong, AR (North 33.098632°, West 92.396803°). The topography consists of upland hills sloping downwards in a westerly direction. Access to the property is available via unimproved woods road running north from Union RD #24 aka “Lovett RD”, about 700 yards to the southeast corner of the property. Nearly 40 acres of the tract were planted with pine in 2015. About 3.5 acres of more mature natural pine remain along the northern and eastern portions of the property. The western portion features about 15 acres of a hardwood creek drain along with a one-acre pond for diverse recreational wildlife habitat. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist of Guyton silt loam, Sacul-Sawyer complex and other fine sandy loams that give the tract a weighted average site index of 89.6 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
